Ozeki 10 for Raspbian Raspbian distribution

On this page you will find detailed information on how to install Ozeki 10 on Raspbian Linux. At first the prerequisites will be listed, then you will learn how to get the necessary components. Finally, you will be shown how to access the GUI of Ozeki 10 from a webbrowser.

Step 1 - Get a root shell using sudo -s

Important: You need to have sudo privileges to install the Ozeki software. If you issue sudo -s command at the beginning of the installation, your Raspbian will not require you to use sudo command before the following commands.

user@ozeki-vm:~$ sudo -s
[sudo] password for user:
root@ozeki-vm:~#

Step 2 - Install mono-complete package

The next step is to prepare your Raspbian OS to be able to run the Ozeki 10 software. First, remove the mono-complete package if it is installed, then install it from the following repository.

root@ozeki-vm:~# apt-get remove mono-complete
...
root@ozeki-vm:~# apt-get autoremove

Now add the following repository to the sources list of your Raspbian.

You always have to use the repository that can be found here: http://www.mono-project.com/download/#download-lin-raspbian.

root@ozeki-vm:~# sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF
root@ozeki-vm:~# echo "deb http://download.mono-project.com/repo/debian raspbianstretch main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-official.list

After adding this repository to your sources list, issue the apt-get update command and install the mono-complete package.

root@ozeki-vm:~# apt-get update
root@ozeki-vm:~# apt-get install mono-complete

Step 3 - Download the ARM version of Ozeki 10

Download the latest version of Ozeki 10 from the download page and copy the installer file into the home directory of your linux user.

Step 4 - Install other dependencies

Before you install Ozeki 10 software, you need to install some other dependencies. Install libturbojpeg, libspeexdsp1, libportaudio2, fonts-symbola and xvfb packages.

root@ozeki-vm:~# apt-get install libturbojpeg libportaudio2 xvfb libspeexdsp1 fonts-symbola
