Manual uninstallation

This detailed, step by step guide is about to show you, how you can stop the services of Ozeki on your Windows operating system, unregister these services from the Command Line, and delete all the Ozeki files from your computer.

Stop Ozeki services

To produce the manual uninstallation of Ozeki Installer, first, you have to stop its services. for that, open the Windows Service Manager by pressing Win + R buttons on your keyboard. Here, type services.msc (Figure 1) and finally click OK.

In Windows Service Manager, you can find all your installed services on your computer in alphabetical order. So, scroll down until you find the Ozeki service. If you click once on it, you can perform actions on the service. now, like in Figure 2 you need to stop the service by clicking on Stop.

Next, you have to do the same thing with the Ozeki Installer service, so just select the Ozeki Installer service, and click on Stop, as you can see it in Figure 3.

And again,you have to do the same thing with the Ozeki Watchdog service, so just select the Ozeki Watchdog service, and click on Stop, as you can see it in Figure 4.

Unregister Ozeki services

After you stopped Ozeki services in Windows Service Manager, next you need to uninstall these services from your computer with some simple commands. So, first, you have to open Windows Command Prompt. If you press Win + S on your keyboard, you will be able to search for that application (Figure 4). Here, just type 'cmd' and the Command Prompt will show up as a result.

To perform to following actions in Command Prompt, you have to start it with administrator privileges. For that, please right click on the application, and select Run as administrator as Figure 5 demonstrates it.

As you can see it on Figure 6, Command Prompt opens up in the Windows\system32 directory. So first, you need to navigate to the root directory of your computer. For that, please type cd\ and press Enter to navigate to the root directory.

Next, you have to jump to the directory of Ozeki BaseSystem. By performing the cd command with the path to the Base System directory, which is normally Program Files\Ozeki\BaseSystem\v1.0.0 (Figure 7) you can move the control to that directory.

In the Base System directory, now you can run the command that will uninstall the Ozeki service from your computer. Just type Ozeki_starter.exe /uninstall and press Enter. If you have done everything right you can see the same output on your computer as on Figure 8.

Next, you need to uninstall the Ozeki Installer service as well. This can be done in the same way, so first navigate to the root directory with the cd\ command like in Figure 9.

To uninstall the Ozeki Installer, you have to move its folder. To do that, type cd Program Files\Ozeki\Installer\v1.1.36 and press enter. As Figure 10 shows it, this command will navigate you to the directory of Ozeki Installer.

Here, you need to perform the same action as you did with Ozeki service, so please type Installer_Starter.exe/uninstall and press enter. As you can see it on Figure 11, Ozeki bootloader will uninstall the service from your computer.

Delete Ozeki files from Program Files

The last step of the uninstallation is to delete the folders that contain all files of Ozeki Installer. So, open the File Explorer on your computer, and on your main disk, open the Program Files folder (Figure 12).

In Program Files, you can find the Ozeki folder, so just select it like in Figure 13.

To complete the uninstallation, you have to delete the BaseSystem, ChatClient, Common, Common.Installer and Installer folders. So, just select all of them (Figure 14), right click and finally select Delete.
